SELF PORTRAIT, 1998

Dylan is first and foremost a New Yorker born and raised. A multi-hyphenate creative, she is a vocalist, DJ, stylist, vintage fashion expert and small business owner. Her educations from LaGuardia Arts (the “Fame” School), Berklee College of Music, The New School, and Parsons School of Design have all contributed to the vast mélange of her expertise.

As a singer, Dylan has been classically trained in opera, jazz, R&B and beyond. Her musical journey has taken her from studying West African music in Ghana to studying vocal improvisation with the great Bobby McFerrin. A protégé of turntablist Rob Swift, Dylan is an open format DJ specializing in disco, house, funk, soul, hip-hop, R&B and neo-soul.

Dylan is a fierce sustainability advocate, having worked professionally in the vintage fashion industry since 2016 and founding her own small business, Diamanté Vintage, in 2019. A lifelong fashion anthropologist, Dylan is a firm believer in the power of dress as both art and armor. She weaves the perspective from her creative upbringing and her passions for fashion history, sustainability and color into her uniquely singular styling work. Dylan is a maximalist who lives by the ethos that more is more.
